Examples of proof of income are:
- Pay stubs totaling one month of income.
- Your yearly social security summary or benefit letter.
- A copy of a recent disability or unemployment statement or pay stub.
If approved, your discount will show up on your MID bill in about 4 to 6 weeks.
You will receive a 60-day notice to recertify the discount before it expires.
Your enrollment in MID CARES (Community Alternative Rates for Electric Service) reduces your fixed monthly charge and includes a 23% discount on the first 850kWh you use each month.
